What is Dry volume factor?
The multiplier converting wet concrete volume to the dry ingredient volume needed to produce it, conventionally 1.54.
It exists because water fills the voids between particles rather than adding to the total. It combines sand bulking of about 20% with aggregate voids of about 34%, and field values range from 1.52 to 1.57.
