Pressure Converter

Pressure across pascals, bar, psi, atmospheres and millimetres of mercury. Tyre pressure, blood pressure and weather pressure all live in different units for historical reasons rather than technical ones.

Also called: bar to psi, kpa to psi, tyre pressure converter.

How this is calculated

The pascal is one newton per square metre and everything is held against it. The mercury units come from the barometer, where pressure was literally read as the height of a mercury column, which is why blood pressure is still quoted in millimetres of a metal nobody uses in instruments any more.
