Crypto Profit Calculator

Crypto gain after fees, TDS and tax. In India virtual digital assets are taxed at a flat thirty percent with no deduction except cost, and losses cannot be set off against anything, which changes the arithmetic entirely.

₹1,50,200 after ₹7,300 in fees, ₹10,250 deducted at source and ₹67,500 in tax. The gross gain was ₹2,25,000, so 33.24% of it went in friction.

An estimate, not an offer or a guarantee. Projected returns assume the rate you entered holds for the whole term, which no market does.

Method and background

This is what the calculation gives for the numbers you entered. It is an estimate, not advice, and it knows nothing about your situation beyond those numbers. Rules for India change on a published schedule; the effective date is shown on every rule-based tool.

How this is calculated

Fees apply on both the buy and the sell leg, so the round trip costs roughly twice the stated rate. Indian tax treats virtual digital assets separately: a flat thirty percent on the gain, no deduction for anything except the cost of acquisition, and losses that cannot be set off against other income or even against other crypto gains. There is also a one percent TDS on the sale value, which is creditable against the final liability rather than an extra cost.

Method and limits

What it assumes

  • A single buy and a single sell, taxed on the gain.

What it deliberately does not model

  • Multiple lots need each one computing separately, since no averaging is permitted.
  • Rules differ by country, and this reflects the Indian treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I offset a crypto loss against a crypto gain?
Not in India. Losses on virtual digital assets cannot be set off against anything, including other crypto gains, and cannot be carried forward.
Is the one percent TDS an extra tax?
No, it is a deduction at source that is credited against your final liability. It affects cash flow rather than total tax.
